The Nuekie Skin of Color Conference will take a deep dive into the essentials of building and running a successful esthetics practice that caters to skin of color.

As the ethnic population continues to grow, there will be an increasing demand for the ethnic-specific skin care. According to the U.S. Census by the year 2050, more than half of the U.S. population will be of ethnic background (i.e. African/African-American, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, and Pacific Islander). Ethnic consumers are looking for skin care specialists who understands their skin care needs.

Unfortunately, many estheticians never received adequate training on skin of color or launching a business in esthetics school. Therefore, skin care professionals will need to learn how to specifically treat the unique structure and function of ethnic skin to enhance their service offerings.
